April 21 Spring Tune-Up 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church's Missions Ministry organizes this annual event to raise funds for the Hopewell Dominican Republic Missions Journey. The start/finish lines are at Hopwell in front of Faith Hall, with the course winding through some of Norcross' most scenic neighborhoods. April 28 - "All Aboard for a Cure" The Atlanta Chapter of the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation is excited and energized to be able to reach out to the community to raise awareness as well as support those who are fighting mitochondrial disease in our area. Whether you, someone you love, or someone you know is fighting this disease, we can all come together to spread the word and raise money for research toward a cure. After a 1-mile walk, we will end in Thrasher Park for family fun day activities, activities for children of all ages and abilities, free food and drinks, and great entertainment! TBD CHUK 5K RUN - Cops Helping Unique Kids. The Norcross Police Department and United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia are teaming up to present a special event featuring family fun and celebrating kids of all abilities. The first annual C.H.U.K Run will begin with a 5K Run through downtown Norcross at 8:00 AM. There is a $20 registration fee, with all proceeds going to support United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia services for children and adults with disabilities. Participants can register online in advance at Active.com for a guaranteed t shirt! Great run through Historic Norcross and all for a good cause. May 28 Strawberry Stroll 5K It’s the annual Strawberry Stroll with great shopping and lots of sugary, locally-grown berries to buy in downtown. But before you get your fresh strawberry fix, c’mon out and join us for a 5K Run that starts at 10am in Thrasher Park! The run is hosted by RTS Packaging (part of Rock Tenn) and all proceeds go to benefit Kingdom Kids, a local non-profit that grants wishes to special needs children.
